Sojourner Kinkaid Rolle

Sojourner Kincaid Rolle is a poet, playwright, environmental educator and cultural and peace activist.  She is known for her work raising awareness of BIPOC history and is a guiding elder for Juneteenth Santa Barbara and Healing Justice Santa Barbara.  Sojourner was named Poet Laureate of Santa Barbara from 2015 to 2017.  For nearly thirty years she has led poetry workshops in schools and youth development programs.  Sojourner is the author of seven books of poetry and six plays.  She lives with her husband in Santa Barbara, California.
