In 1928, girls weren't supposed to run competitively. But that didn't stop Betty Robinson.
All that mattered to Betty was her and her track. At the age of sixteen, she became the first female Olympic gold medalist in track & field. Yet that wasn't enough. She was set to compete again in the 1932 Olympics. That all changed after a horrible plane crash that left Betty in a wheelchair. With only her strength and unbeatable spirit, she relearned to stand, to walk, and finally to run for the 1936 Olympics in Nazi Germany. Determined to win gold once more, she competed with the US women's relay team to prove that despite everything she'd had to overcome, Betty was still a winner.
