Here is a delightful book for the whole family to enjoy.
To the words of the national anthem, Peter Spier has set some of his finest illustrations ever—each glowing with color and each a bit of Americana in itself. As in any Spier book, inspiration has been backed up by careful research and observation, so that every details bears the mark of authenticity. The music is provided at the back of the book, including guitar chords, for those who like to sing or play. There is also a historical note about how The Star-Spangled Banner came to be written, as well as a reproduction of Francis Scott Key's original manuscript.
This is a beautiful addition to any family's collection.
