The Natural History of the Ten Commandments is the transcript of a lecture Ernest Thompson Seton delivered at Harvard University in 1904. In the lecture, Seton proposes that "The Ten Commandments are not arbitrary laws given to man, but are fundamental laws of all highly developed animals." p. 4 Seton tells story after story of experiences and observations he had and made in nature as proof for the fundamental nature of each of the ten commandments.
