The day before Christmas, the children opened the front door and there was a kitten. They were delighted but Mother said, "No kitten!" The kitten was as sad as the children, so she decided to try again. When no one was looking, back she came. This time Mother found her in the grocery box and put her out. But Kitty did not give up. Finally Mother, Father, the children and Kitty all had a happy Christmas.
Young "readers" can follow Kitty's adventures in this lively and detailed story without words.
