Pumpkin, Ginger, and Spice were three dachshunds, each one the same color they were named for. Of course, the fact that they belong to Miss Marvelous, the village bakery owner, might have had something to do with their names. But their adventures putting out fires and solving mysteries brought them to the attention of the newspapers and the puppies became celebrities in their own home town. Lots of fun.
