"I am not foolish, but I do have funny friends," Mrs. Goose announced one day. Her friends, both those in Animaltown and the many children who love the stories about her, may not agree. They will probably laugh and say, "How lik Mrs. Goose!"
In these eleven stories Mrs. Goose acts true to character. She tries to become a painter, she endeavors to direct Mr. Red Rooster to his niece's home, she practices sending off firecrackers, and she helps Mrs. Hen's chicken daughters buy their mother a Christmas present. Readers of the other Mother Goose stories will know that the efforts are not very successful—in fact they are not successful at all. Boys and girls who have not met Mrs. Goose before will find themselves laughing over the antics of this lovable, foolish heroine.
Mrs. Goose and Her Funny Friends is as funny and as readable as all the other books by this very favorite author.
