When Mousekin suddenly discovers that his secret stores of winter food have been stolen, he is filled with anger and fear. He will have nothing to eat all winter! So begins another Mousekin adventure in which the timid hero must confront the strange sounds and large beings inhabiting the forest. But anger and fear turn into delight as Mousekin finds a new friend and a bountiful supply of food.
