Minera Louise loves springtime. The air is warm, the fields are full of flowers, and the farmers are decked out in pretty dresses and fancy bonnets.
But something strange is happening around the barnyard. There are eggs on fence posts, under picnic tables, and in lots of other places. What hen would do that? And they are not like any eggs Minerva Louise has seen before. These are green and purple, blue and pink, striped and spotted. What is going on?
Young readers will know the answer before their lovable, featherbrained friend.
