Chester Chipmunk was delivering valentines to all his friends. But his cousin Archie—who had lumbago and was feeling very out of sorts—didn't get one.

Until he found a mysterious message lying on his doorstep.

it said (smelling like perfume). It was certainly a sissy note to get from a cousin, unless his cousin Chester DIDN'T send it!

Who does want to be Archie's sweet tootsie? Archie thinks he knows. So he makes his own valentine—which leads to all kinds of confusion among the Widow Cottontail, Oswald Opossum, Mrs. Woodchuck and the other forest creatures.

Once again, Barbara Williams and Kay Chorao have combined their talents to produce a delightful and amusing story.
