Timothy Ferris
1944-presentTimothy Ferris is the author of several critically acclaimed books on science, among them The Red Limit, Galaxies, and Coming of Age in the Milky Way. He is the recipient of the American Institute of Physics Prize, the Astronomical Society of the Pacific's Klumpke-Robert's Prize for lifetime achievement in the popularization of astronomy, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Professor Ferris teaches science writing and astronomy at the University of California, Berkeley. He lives with his family in San Francisco.
