Rukhsana Khan
Rukhsana Khan is the author of several books for young readers, including Big Red Lollipop, for which she won both the Charlotte Zolotow Award and the Golden Kite Award for best picture book text. She wrote King for a Day to introduce children to the Pakistani spring festival of Basant and the sport of kite fighting. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Khan now lives in Toronto, Canada with her husband and family.
