Kathi Appelt

Kathi Appelt is a Texas native who has written a wide variety of children's books, including Bat Jamboree, I See the Moon, The Best Kind of Gift, and Incredible Me!  She first learned about Lady Bird Johnson from her grandmother, who worked on the presidential campaign in 1964.
