Joseph Bruchac
1942 -Joseph Bruchac is a storyteller, poet, and publisher, and much of his writing draws on his Native American and European heritage. He believes that poetry and storytelling are natural to human beings. His poems and stories have appeared in more than four hundred magazines and anthologies, and he is the author of several books, including Keepers of the Earth: Native American Stories and Environmental Activities for Children, cowritten with Michael Caduto. Mr. Bruchac lives in Greenfield, New York, with his wife, Carol, and their two grown sons, Jesse and Jim.
