Ginger Park

Frances Park and Ginger Park grew up listening to stories of their mother's childhood in North Korea. One of these stories was the inspiration for My Freedom Trip. Frances and Ginger have written a second picture book, The Royal Bee, as well as a young adult novel, which are forthcoming from Boyds Mills Press. Ginger lives in northern Virginia with her husband, Skip Redman, their newborn son Justin, and her mother—the heroine of this book. Frances and Ginger are also co-owners of Chocolate Chocolate, a popular boutique in Washington, D.C. They say that eating chocolate does wonders for their imaginations.
