Andrea Beaty

Andrea Beaty is fascinated by tall things, from giants to giant buildings.  Her first picture book, When Giants Come to Play, was illustrated by Kevin Hawkes.  Kirkus Reviews called it "enormously appealing," and School Library Journal said it is "a delightful romp, full of imagination."  Andrea also authored the middle grade novels Secrets of the Cicada Summer, Attack of the Fluffy Bunnies, and Dorko the Magnificent. She lives with her family near Chicago, the city that invented the skyscraper, the Chicago-style hot dog, and the phrase "There's always next year."
